DESCRIPTION:\nThe Louisiana Art & Science Museum invites families and dinosaur enthusiasts of all ages to Dino Day on Saturday, June 27, 2026, starting at 10 AM. This annual celebration offers a rare chance to meet a paleontologist and get up close with “Jason,” the 66-million-year-old Triceratops skull, on display at LASM.\n\n\n\nFrom 10 AM to 2 PM, guests can enjoy hands-on activities in collaboration with community partners, while dinosaur-themed shows in the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium continue through 5 PM.\n\n\n\nThis year marks 10 years of “Jason” at LASM, generously on loan from Raising Cane’s and the Todd Graves Family. Since 2016, the Triceratops skull has been a beloved centerpiece in the Solar System Gallery, inspiring curiosity in school groups, families, and aspiring scientists. Dino Day attendees can examine real fossils, interact with experts, and discover the fascinating world of dinosaurs.\n\n\n\nAdditional highlights include BASF’s Kids’ Lab chemistry workshops at 11 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM for children ages 6–12 and their accompanying adults, as well as Pop-up Science activities featuring STEAM-focused fun.\n\n\n\nGeneral museum admission covers all Dino Day activities, including planetarium shows and BASF workshops. LASM Members enjoy free admission.\n
