If you could have dinner with any artist or scientist, who would you choose and why?
I would choose to have dinner with Pablo Picasso. His abstractions showed the world that there is not just a single way to look at something. One thing I admire about him is that he made his own style. He is largely recognized as the pioneer for cubism, but was unafraid to try something new and went through many stylistic periods in his work; because of that lack of inhibition, he created a lasting impact.
What do you hope that visitors take away from visiting the Louisiana Art & Science Museum?
I hope that our visitors leave LASM with a renewed sense of self and that they learned something new about the world around them or saw something from a different perspective. I hope they find beauty and that it awakens in them a sense of discovery and inspiration to leave our doors and go create!
