The Honey Gold Experience Comes to the Planetarium

Louisiana artists Sariah Sizemore and Taylor Matherne bring The Honey Gold Experience to the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium for an immersive live performance adapted specifically for the dome.

Sizemore and Matherne will perform live alongside original music, voice, sound design, and custom video collages projected across the full curve of the planetarium ceiling. The visuals, curated and edited by the artists, draw from Honey Gold’s video archive, original travel footage, and licensed content to create a new full-dome experience.

This is a live performance adapted for the planetarium—not Honey Gold’s planned full-dome film. The separate film is currently in development and fundraising, with a targeted release in 2027.

• Tickets: $40 adults · $20 children · $30 LASM members · $15 children of LASM members

About Honey Gold

Created by Sizemore and Matherne, Honey Gold explores the emotional realities of growing up in the South through music, visual storytelling, immersive performance, meditation, and sound-healing elements. The experience is designed to move audiences through tension, release, reflection, awe, and connection.

Matherne is a multi-instrumentalist, bassist, composer, and touring musician whose work spans blues, experimental music, and immersive sound. Sizemore brings a background in music, healing arts, technology, and more than two decades supporting audio software and hardware development, including leadership roles at Avid and Native Instruments.

Together, their work creates an intersection of music, art, technology, visual storytelling, and restorative experience.

From Baton Rouge to the Dome

Honey Gold debuted in Baton Rouge in July 2025 and has since been presented at venues including the City Club of Baton Rouge, Louisiana’s Old State Capitol, and Audium in San Francisco. The October 3 performance marks the project's first presentation in a full-dome format.
