Free First Sunday

Sunday, June 1 from 1 - 5 PM
The event offers free museum admission, along with a special $5 rate for unlimited shows at the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium. The day will be filled with fun activities for all ages, including hands-on activities, incredible exhibitions and galleries, and more!

Sensory Second Sunday

Every 2nd Sunday of the Month
Sunday, June 8  |  3 PM  - 5 PM
Catch captioned Irene W. Pennington Planetarium shows by checking the calendar. Relax with therapy dogs with Bayou Buddies therapy dogs and receive resources.

Dino Day

Saturday, June 28, from 10 AM - 5 PM
Visitors will have the opportunity to engage with a Paleontologist as they are introduced to “Jason,” the 66-million-year-old Triceratops, enjoy thrilling hands-on activities, immersive dinosaur-themed shows in the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium, BASF's Kids' Lab chemistry workshops, and more!

Studio Saturday

Saturday, July 19 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Taught by Nathalie Roy, STEM teacher and 2021 Louisiana Teacher of the Year, this class will focus on the ancient Egyptian craft of papyrus paper making, held in the Cary Saurage Art Studio in the Lamar Educational Classroom at LASM.
