EngineerIT
EngineerIT Returns to LASM This July!
The Baton Rouge Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is excited to announce the return of EngineerIT—a dynamic, hands-on STEM outreach event designed to engage and inspire the next generation of engineers.
Join us at the Louisiana Art & Science Museum on:
- Saturday, July 19 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- Saturday, July 26 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
EngineerIT is geared toward children ages 6–12 and features interactive civil engineering activities, live demonstrations, and opportunities to meet real-world engineers. Led by ASCE volunteers and local professionals, this fun-filled event brings engineering concepts to life in exciting and accessible ways.
Featured Demonstrations
This year, ECS Limited and Forte & Tablada will showcase real-world engineering demonstrations on at least one of the event days—giving kids a front-row look at how engineering impacts the world around us.
Special Feature: Dream Big in the Planetarium
As part of the experience, the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium will screen Dream Big: Engineering Our World—an inspirational documentary created in partnership with ASCE that celebrates the creativity and global impact of engineers. Planetarium access is included with museum admission.
