Sensory Second Sunday with W3 Bee-Long
LASM, in partnership with nonprofit W3 Bee-Long, invites the public to a special workshop: Colors That Speak (Colores que Hablan), led by Iveth Esmahan, Founder of W3 Bee-Long.
Inspired by colonial portrait artist José Francisco Xavier de Salazar y Mendoza, the sensory-friendly workshop blends color, language, and movement in an inclusive, interactive art experience for all ages and abilities.
As a Sensory Inclusive Certified venue, LASM provides trained staff, sensory bags, and regulation spaces to support neurodivergent guests. For this event:
- Workshop (Classroom 2): 3:30–4:30 p.m.
- Sensory Regulation Room (Classroom 1): Open 3:00–5:00 p.m.
Included with general admission, Sensory Sunday is held monthly to promote creativity, self-expression, and belonging for everyone.
From 3 PM - 5 PM, dimmed lights, low-volume music, designated quiet areas, fidget toys, headphones, and accessible art supplies are available for those with sensory needs. Additionally, captioned Irene W. Pennington Planetarium shows will be available.
