Stay cool and inspired all summer long with LASM’s Beat the Heat Summer Series, starting June 4! Enjoy a daily lineup of engaging, educational, and family-friendly programs—all in the refreshing comfort of the Louisiana Art & Science Museum and the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium.
Weekly Summer Series Schedule
Wednesdays at 1 PM: Cosmic Crafts Under the Dome
Watch a planetarium show, then enjoy a themed hands-on craft activity!
Shows rotate weekly: T. Rex, Enchanted Reef, Earth, Moon & Sun, and more.

Thursdays at 1:30 PM: Read & Create
Story time followed by a fun, themed craft—perfect for little learners!

Fridays at 10 AM: Summer Sketches: Family Drawing Class
A relaxed drawing class for all ages and skill levels. Materials provided.
